Opening of bridge at Lords Creek on River Road may be delayed past Saturday so both route maps are below.  Route to be used will be at Ride Leaders discretion.

We will meet at River Road Park (about 1/2 mile south of the intersection of River Road and Sanders Road) and pick-up for about one hour. All materials (collection bags, gloves, safety jackets, etc) will be supplied.  Following the cleanup, there will be refreshments and award of prizes for the two participants that find the (now) famed “Yellow Coke Bottles”.  After the refreshments, there will be a bicycle ride to Carolina Beach and, for those that are so inclined, to the Fort Fisher Ferry and return to River Road Park. This is a 31 mile ride, starting from River Rd. Park

There will usually be three pace groups.  The “Fast” or A Group riding at an average pace of 18+mph, the “Strong” or B Group riding at an average pace of 16-17mph, and the “Moderate” or C Group riding at an average pace of 14-15mph.  (When the ride allows there will be a “Leisurely” or D Group riding at a sub 14mph average pace over a shorter distance with a no drop policy.  This will be noted in the ride announcement header.)

You are responsible for printing your own copy of the map for this ride. Do not expect the ride leader to provide any at the start of the ride. If you do not have facilities to accomplish this then email a request to the ride leader to possibly make one for you.
